Admission Criteria

Aims & Objectives The course aims at providing basic education in Ayurveda for getting the degree of B.A.M.S. It aims at making the graduates of profound scholarship in Ayurveda having fundamental knowledge in different subjects of Ayurveda backed up by extensive practical training. He should become an efficient and a competent Ayurvedic physician (Kayachikitsaka) and surgeon (Shalyachikitsaka) to be able to contribute for the medical and health services of the Country.
Duration 5 1/2 years ( Including one year internship)
Eligibility (a)The candidates passed 12th Standard examination with 50% aggregate marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology, recognized by concerned State Governments and Education boards. Knowledge of Sanskrit is essential for the admission. Must passed Sanskrit either in 10 (SSC) or 12 (HSC).
(b) Any other equivalent course recognized by the Government and State education Board.
Qualifying age Must have completed 17 years as on 31st December of year of admission to the main course.
